Despite the vaccination requirements in 2021 and the school suspension due to the omicron pandemic in 2022, our school music teams still seized the opportunity to practice music in the limited rehearsal time. By submitting pre-recorded performance videos, our Mixed Voice Choir, Treble Voice Choir, Orchestra, String Chamber, Chinese orchestra and various instrumental ensembles entered the Hong Kong Youth Music Interflows organised by the Music Office, LCSD, the Hong Kong Inter-School Choral Competition cum Masterclass organised by the HKICF, and the Hong Kong Joint School Music Competition organised by the JSMA. Two virtual symphonic band videos and one orchestra video were produced by the newly established Music Production Team to feature our wind players and student conductors despite the avoidance of their face-to-face rehearsals. Online music training camps were organised during the special summer holiday in March and April to keep our choir and orchestra members practising music at home.
The results in the 2021-22 music events were nevertheless praiseworthy.
